You are met at the airport upon arrival in Beijing, and transferred to the Holiday Inn Downtown. No further services provided today.

Beijing City Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Beijing. The tour begins with a walk through Tiananmen Square and continues to the Forbidden City. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. After lunch, experience a complete tour of the beautiful complex of structures at the Temple of Heaven.     (Breakfast / Lunch included)

Note: Those who are arriving today and taking the one-day optional tour tomorrow will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel.

Great Wall / Sacred Way / Ming Tombs

Today’s tour begins after breakfast at the hotel. Travel outside the city for an energetic walk on the fabled Great Wall of China. Round trip admission to the cable car at the Badaling section of the Wall is included.
     After lunch at a local restaurant, return to the city by way of the Sacred Way and the Ming Tombs. Enjoy a walk along the Sacred Way, a beautiful path in the vicinity of the Tombs that is lined with figures carved in stone. The Ming Tombs are in a wooded paradise, and your tour includes entrance to the Tomb of Emperor Dingling.
     Return to the hotel in time for the Welcome Dinner this evening.     (All Meals)
