Besame Mucho
Romancing the Yucatan

Photo Gallery

  After meeting in Cancun
travel to awesome
Chichen Itza

Our Hacienda is literally
a stone's throw from the
Observatory ruins at
Chichen Itza

  Our first visit will be
at sunset, when there
are few other tourists
at the site

  Climbing to the top
of the main pyramid
affords a beautiful
view of the
surrounding jungle,

  . . . and of other
ruins at the site

  Next morning we tour
the site together . . .

  . . . and marvel at
intricate stonework
that has weathered
the centuries

  Hacienda Chichen boasts
its own peacock . . .

  . . . brilliant foliage
and birds . . .

  . . . and fabulous
shopping opportunities

  Spend a long weekend
in gorgeous,
Colonial Merida

  The central square
is the scene of
Fiesta every Sunday

  If we are lucky
there will be a
free concert at the
Merida Opera House

  The ceiling
and chandelier
have recently
been restored

  We'll have a
special party
on Saturday
night . . .

  . . . at the lovely
home of our
Merida “family”

  Swim in a cenote
at Dzibilchaltun

  After a brief stop
at the open-air
museum of the old
Hacienda Yaxcopoil . . .

  . . . board a small
boat at Celestun . . .

  . . . to view a
huge flock . . .

  . . . of pink
flamingos

  Continue through
the mangroves . . .

  . . . to a cenote called
“Ojo de Agua”

  Finally, we
arrive at the
stunning site
of Uxmal

  The elaborate grounds
and amazingly intricate
stonework . . .

  . . . make this one
of our favorite
places on the tour

  At Hacienda Uxmal
we will no doubt
be serenaded with
“Besame Mucho”
for the hundredth time

  Our final four
nights are at the
gorgeous beaches
near Tulum

  Snorkel or scuba
at the Grand Cenote
