SWASHBUCKLERS
Sailing in the Virgin Islands

Photo Gallery

Spirit of Massachusetts
docked at
Jost Van Dyke.

Welcome Aboard!
It's great to be away
from the winter
weather up north!

Raise the sails
and let's get underway!

Work, driving,
golf or weightlifting
gloves can help to
prevent blisters.

Here's a well-prepared
sailor with hands well
gloved and protected.

(Nice outfit, too!)

Heaving away on
the winch to
raise the anchor.

Securing the anchor
once it has been
raised. Now we're
truly underway!

While manning the helm
it helps to look up at the
gay flag occasionally.

Not only inspiring, but
it indicates which way
the wind is blowing!

It also helps to
keep an eye on
anyone who
happens to be
climbing the mast.

Don't worry,
he's tethered
by a safety line.

(And we don't
do this while the
ship is underway)

Being allowed to
climb up the mast
is truly one of the
things that distinguishes
adventure travel from
an ordinary vacation.

Can you imagine being
allowed to do anything
like this on a regular
cruise ship? Someone
would have a cow!

As a Toto
"Swashbuckler"
you can also climb
way out on the bowsprit
to ride the waves underway
or to help furl a sail at anchor.

Once underway there is
nothing like the feeling
of sailing, with the wind
filling the sails and the
ship plowing gracefully
through the gentle waves.

The scenery in the
Virgin Islands is
absolutely incredible!
Here is a beach at
"The Baths" on
Virgin Gorda.

The water is warm
and the clearest blue,
making snorkeling and
diving most delightful
adventures!

You'll have plenty of
time to explore beaches
and quaint waterfront
bars and souvenir shops.

Our ship anchored at
Cooper Island.

Sunset at Cooper Island,
where many of us decide
to eat ashore at the gay-
owned Cooper Island
Beach Club.

White Bay, one of the
most beautiful in the
Virgin Islands, is on
Jost Van Dyke.

Bathing on deck at
the end of another
wonderful day
of sailing. Truly
a bonding
experience!

You have your choice
of Lemon Fresh Joy
or Dawn dishwashing
liquid to help with the
daily ablutions.

These products are
great for washing
in salt water.

Then a quick plunge
into the ocean for
the final rinse.

What on earth
did sailors use
before they invented
Lemon Fresh Joy?

During our final
evening aboard
we gather for
a crew
appreciation.

Whether you travel
alone, or come with
your other half, you
are sure to meet other
wonderful men during
this exciting adventure.

Escape from winter,
and join us for the
adventure vacation
of a lifetime . . .

. . . sailing in the
beautiful U.S. and
British Virgin Islands.
