Will Wonders Never Cease?

As long as mankind continues to express its vision on a grand scale through art and architecture, there can never be an end to world wonders. We love to categorize our wonders, however, and declare some to be the pinnacle of the creative arts. The original Seven Wonders of the World were first described in a poem more than 2000 years ago. Of those original wonders, only one remains: The Great Pyramids of Egypt.
     The New Seven Wonders of the World (click to see them) were proclaimed on 7 July 2007, based on a process of nomination and voting that was global in scope, thanks to the wonder that is the world wide web. Of course, the Great Pyramids retain their emeritus status as one of the original seven. How many of the new wonders have you seen? Toto Tours visits four of the new seven, plus the Pyramids, during our 2008 tour season.

World Wandering

First up on our World Wonders offerings is the Colosseum in Rome in August. A new tour to China’s Yunnan Province and Tibet in September gives participants an opportunity to walk on the Great Wall of China. October sees Toto tourists returning to Egypt to visit the Pyramids and then on to Jordan to experience the magnificence of Petra (see top photo above). Finally our holiday tour to Buenos Aires, Iguassu Falls, and Rio allows participants to stand at the feet of the Christ Statue overlooking romantic Rio de Janiero.

The world is full of amazing and wonderful places, and what better way to see them than with an intimate group of adventurous gay men? What could be more wonderful than observing leviathans of the deep, humpback whales, frolicing in their breeding grounds in the Dominican Republic? Or sharing a fabulous meal with new friends in Provence, France? Or having your breath taken away by the beauty of the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet? Wonder of Wonders

In addition to the wonderful places we visit, the thing that keeps Toto Tourists coming back time and again is perhaps the most wonderful of all—the connections that happen when participants share exceptional moments together. Romances blossom once in a while, but more often than not the men who travel with Toto develop wonderful new friends with whom to share adventures for many years to come.

Its A Wonderful World

I have enjoyed the privilege of hosting you on Toto Tours for seventeen years now. My hair may have gone gray in the process, but my love for seeing the world’s wonders with other gay men hasn’t diminished in the slightest.
     We are visiting eleven entirely new destinations in 2008, and returning to seven of our all-time favorites. I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you on Toto Tours somewhere in this wide, wonder-filled world!
